The vineyard

The vineyard was planted in the year 2001 and cover a surface of 10 hectares. After a deep research about the history of the territory, ground composition and the characteristics of some species of vine, we planted 47,250 units of which 27,250 are red grape and 20,000 are white grape. We gave the priority to the native cultivar as Albanello, Trebbiano, Incrocio Bruni, Alicante and Sangiovese but we have not ignored other interesting species such as Aleatico, Lacrima, Bombino and Merlot. The growth forms are spurred cordon type and gouyot (depending on specie).

The plantation has a density of 5,000 vines/hectare and is equipped with a drip irrigation that is activated only to compensate the lack of water when the season is particularly dry.
